Family reunion is for pre-existing family member/s to join you in the UK. They will be able to join you under the same conditions of your leave.

This could include a spouse, civil partner and unmarried/same sex partners. This will also include children under the age of 18 who were dependant on you and formed part of your family when you left your country. This also includes children that were conceived prior to your departure.

The Home Office may allow family reunion for other family members if there are compassionate reasons why their case should be considered outside the immigration rules. More information regarding this can be found on the Home Office website here.
